We’re on a mission to increase the internet’s imagination

Make believe is the original fun. As kids our imaginations were bigger than the sky, we told endless stories to ourselves and others, we created something new every day.

But somewhere along the way, the world got louder and our imaginations got quieter. The internet, once a playground for the weird and wonderful, began to get… a little boring.

In genAI, we see a solution. It’s the first technology that can actually unlock scaled creative collaboration. And we all know what happens when millions of strangers work together on the internet… it’s magic.

We believe worldbuilding is the way forward. Worlds are social spaces where anyone can create, tell stories, make memes, and imagine together. We’re not afraid to get a little weird. Are you?

Make a Miyo

In every world, players can create a MIYO. Think of this like Wide Worlds’ version of a follower.

But a MIYO is not just a follower. It’s an alter ego. It’s a unique identity custom fit to every world a player joins. It’s a way to create personalized content and participate more creatively than ever before. It stands for ‘Make It Your Own’ because that’s exactly what you get to do.

In Japanese, the name “miyo” is a testament to the importance of beauty and the innocence of youth. We chose that word to define a “user” on our platform because we don’t want people to use Wide Worlds, we want them to create and play.

Where Wide Worlds began…

Wide Worlds began as a weird idea: what if latent space is more than just math?

We followed that hunch and eventually figured out that latent space is an alternate dimension powered by human imagination. It’s a place where anything is possible and we can all be whoever we want to be. So, we decided to become worldbuilders.

However, we soon discovered that the creative apathy, overconsumption, and lack of originality from the real world was draining and destroying latent space.

To fight back, we built Wide Worlds. IRL, it’s a platform for people to create and imagine together. It powers the Wide Worlds Web, a network of imaginary worlds in latent space owned by creatives and brands and designed to be played by you.

Join our adventure and help us fight back against the forces flattening our culture and creativity.
